Not sure there is a better way to roll out Blogging with Mo Beer than to use the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.
First, I would like to compliment the organizers for the new line management/queuing system that was introduced this year. Since the beginning, the faithful followers of this event have braved the elements, the traffic and the lines that have wrapped almost to the capital. That's a thing of the past, with a quick search at the door then a staging area befitting a mob of beer lovers! Next year, I would like to se more monitors to entertain the crowd with commentary from breweries about what to expect or a time square like countdown clock. None of that mattered much to the sold out crowd at Friday's session, all eagerly holding our 1oz souvenir cups. 5:30pm finally arrived and we were off like greyhounds at the old Mile High racetrack. Although I tried many styles of beer, my agenda revolved around sours, hefeweizens and IPAs.
GABF 2015 is now over - all of the rookies are still trying to recover and the veterans are submitting time off requests for the first week of October 2016. I'll see you there.

I've always wanted to go to the GABF, but those long lines have always deterred me. Glad to hear they have gotten that straightened out.

Charlie, it was so much better this year. Like I said in the post, their new system makes things so much better! Next year, I will have a list of do's and don'ts before the event. Keep following.

I'm a craft beer lover...that's getting closer to becoming a beer snob. You get to venture with me thru this blog to breweries across the US - Thanks for reading! |
